Slashdot has played it’s hand for April fools with a Digg style rating system (obviously quite fake).

There is, of course, the usual sprinkling of absurd slashdot stories today - in fact pretty much all of the stories posted today should be take with a pinch of hot grits.

The BBC have come up with an ever so original April Fools gag for their front-of-shop webpage.

It’s ’smell-o-vision’.

The ‘April Fool’ basically cycles through a few images in the BBC’s headline image window. Unfortunately, the last frame proceeds to explain the joke breaking the prime rule of April Fools Jokes and exemplifying the way in which the BBC now patronises their audience.
